Another great interview with wonderful insights. The kriti in Kalyana Vasantham – Sri Venkatesham – is a classic and rare one with most sources quoting Sri Dikshitar as being the author of the kriti. The magnum opus Sangeetha Sampradaya Pradarshini also highlights the ambiguity on Dikshitar being its composer. Since Mahaperiyava has confirmed (albeit indirectly) that this may not be composed by Dikshithar, all doubts can be put to rest. Yet the rendition of Maharajapuram Santhanam is a relishable experience.
