‘Brahmarishi’ Parasurama Ganapatigal (August 15th 1914 – January 21st 2016) merged with the Parabrahma Swaroopi Sri MahaPeriyava today morning. The centenarian who served “The Vedas” till his last breath has been an living example of Guru Krupa.
We are very fortunate to have his interview. Special thanks to devotees who shared videos of Ganapatigal mama’s 100 year’s Mangalya Dharanam and his Ghanam recital as well. It is a great blessing to see and listen to a punyathma like him who has dedicated his entire life for Vedas.
Pranam.

We keep losing such great people who are being blessed by Mahaperiavaa even till date. i think we are not fit to enjoy their presence near us anymore.
We can only pray let MAHAPERIAVAA BE WITH US AND GUIDE US THROUGH THE TIRING JOURNEY.

I was so blessed to have Maha Ghanapatigal for the last three decades. He had given lot of ideas for recoding vedas for posterity and he is very.particular in swaras with great diction and pronounciation. He had given veda rakshanam for endless number of diciples. It is a terrible loss to our Brahmin society/community. In.our Vedic Sangeeta Foundation we honoured him with special honours and he spoke at length with his Ghanam which was rather very unique. We lost an very elderly statesman Ghanapatigal in our life time.
very sad to know the demise of Brahmarishi Sri Parasurama GhanaPatigal. I had an oppertunity to visit him twice before he attained 100 years and lucky enough to be blessed after we in Sama Veda Samrakshana Sabha and conferred Tittle Veda Ratnakara in absebtia and his sishya Sri Manjunatha Ganapatigal was present and received the felicitation on his behalf as desired by him.
To his last breath veda teaching was his prime work and such a great soul was so simple humility personified.
May his soul rest in peace.
