Sri Kannan – Grand son of Sri Pada-Kadai Venkatarama Iyer & Son of Sri Sathanur Krishnamurthy Ganapadigal reached the lotus feet of Sri MahaPeriyava on March 20th 2018. He was “Adhyayana Bhattar” of Thiruvanaikoil Akhiladeswari Sametha Jambukeswarar temple. He was discussing about Sri Akilandeshwari Kumbabhishekam with Smt Mahalakshmi mami on the very same night before he attained siddhi and was immensely praying to Periyava for the successful completion of Kumbabhishekam.
Sri Kannan mama has been blessed by Sri MahaPeriyava even before his birth and has been associated with Sri Matam and Periyava for 4 generations. He shares his experience with Sri MahaPeriyava…
- Dharma Sookshamam explained by Sri MahaPeriyava on being an Adhyayana Bhattar in Sivan Kovil (which needed clarifications at those times)
- Niyama Adhyayana Trust and guidelines as formed by Sri MahaPeriyava
- “உனக்கு எதுக்கு வெள்ளி காசு, தங்க காசே தரேன்” – Periyava blessed mama in Hyderabad when mama was a little kid and asked Periyava for a silver coin.
- (Hundreds of) Periyava Padhugai used as Cricket Bat and later as “Samithu” for Samithadhanam by mama and fellow Patasala Vidyarthees when little.

Tears…… not only from Kannan Mama but also from those who viewed the video. Thanks for uploading such video and made us blessed.
Very sad and shocking to hear this. He was near me on the day of Aradhanai 13th day of HH Periava on 13/3/2018 together with Sri Dinakara Sharma, Varanasi Mani and others. He was very cheerful and communicative. In a week’s time he is no more. No one would have imagined that such an healthy person would leave at a short time. Praying for the departed soul to attain the path of HH Mahaperiava and HH Periava.
V hv indeed lost a great person .our eyes were filled with tears on viewing the video. Our condolences to all family members.
So sad to see such noble souls, close to SRI SRI SRI Mahaperiva and blessed by HIM are departing one by one. Though it as per sastras, it is inevitable, it is very sad… So genuie Sri Bhattar , in his videos.. No words can comfort the bereaved family. ONLY Sri SRI SRI Maha Periyava can comfort them. Particularly this video and another one by the elderly (96 year old) 5 generations Gurukal at Ilai atran gudi.. was very moving…
